Romine Brothers Tie at Harley Homecoming
AMRA Harley Homecoming ? August 30 ? 31, 2003
Racing Nitro Harleys at the famed Union Grove Raceway, RMC Racing covered half of the field, closing the 100th celebration in the rain tied for winner. The eighth-mile race featured NitroHarley?s among an auto show and carbureted bikes.

On the Jack Attack, Jack Romine rode his RMC NitroHarley to the number one qualifying position with a 4.51. Drums Brancaccio landed second on his RMC NitroHarley. Mike Romine rode the Flyin? Banana, for a change, qualifying third with a 4.69.

?I only ran one round of qualifying on Saturday and ended up third. In Sunday?s first round I ran a 4.51 against a 4.55. Both Jack and Drums won their round as well. That put me against Drums second round. I won with a 4.46 at 175 miles per hour against his 4.59.? Jack Romine won his round then prepared to race his brother.

?Just as we were supposed to be headed up to the line, the rain began. The race ended in a tie and we went home. It was that simple.? Romine was clearly not disappointed at the idea of calling the event off instead of waiting out the weather. ?I set the AMRA Top Fuel miles per hour record at 175 with the Flyin? Banana. I ran the yellow bike, not the Nuclear Tomato.? That was RMC Racing?s last AMRA event of the year; a good one to end on. ?There were a lot of people there. The stands were full and there was a good crowd both days.?

Mike Romine, Jack Romine and Drums Brancaccio are sponsored by RMC Racing, Romine Racing, Oceans 11 sports bar in Hollywood, FL, Chromatic Inc, Performance Machine, Ross Racing Pistons, Fram, and Autolite.
