Mike Romine and Dennis Paul have created one of the most formidable Nitro Harley teams in the country. Check out all our teammates here!

Mike Romine started his racing career at the age of 12 on snowmobiles and motocross bikes. At the age of 16, he bought his first Harley and a life-long love was born. In 1985, he decided to combine his love of racing and Harleys and began campaigning a Top Fuel Harley. He quickly became one of the top Harley races in the country, winning eight Top Fuel National Championships. In 2001, Mike signed more autographs in one year than he did in his entire career - exemplifying the growth of both the fan base for Nitro Harley and the number of events he's attended.

In 1988, Mike became only the third person to ever run a 4-second pass on the eighth-mile and was inducted into the AHDRA’s 4-second club. In January of 1993, Romine Racing was invited to Melbourne, Australia to compete in the first USA vs. Australia Nitro Harley Challenge, which was sponsored by Toohey’s Beer, Butternut Bread and Quantas Airlines. In 1996, Mike broke the 7-second barrier when he ran a 6.96 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky. In 1997, he became a member of Romine Cams 200 mile-per-hour club. In 1998, Mike began campaigning a second fuel bike, this one a Pro Fueler owned by Lonnie and Marianne Isam of Competition Motorcycles, Pearland, Texas. At the end of the season, Mike held the world record in the Pro-Fuel class at 6.85. In 1999, Romine Racing teamed-up with Dennis Paul and Chromatic, Inc. to strengthen their assault on the quarter-mile. Featuring all Chromatic team members, this photo of the team was taken at Norwalk Raceway Park in 2001, shortly after debuting Mike's new Nuclear Tomato.

Mike and his wife/Crew Chief Patty, were born and raised in Sturgis, Michigan, where they own a custom and high-performance motorcycle shop. Mike builds his own bikes and motors using the latest technology and advancements. He has earned a reputation for quality and integrity. In 1996, Mike developed his own line of high performance camshafts for both street bikes and race machines, which he makes available to the general public.
